Built to Last, Built to Share
Ridgetop Refuge is being built as a family retreat and will open as a short-term cabin rental. Under North Carolina's owner-builder rules, the cabin can't be rented until at least a year after its Certificate of Occupancy.
Mountain Setting
About 2,400 ft up, with ridge-top views. Near Bryson City and the Nantahala National Forest.
Owner-Built Quality
Hand-built by the owner, with every step documented in the build journal. Built to be handed down, not flipped.
The Smokies
Close to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Fontana Lake, tubing, hiking, and fly fishing.
A Note on Timing
Under North Carolina's owner-builder rules, the cabin can't be rented until at least a year after its Certificate of Occupancy. The clock starts when the Certificate of Occupancy is issued, and the build timeline shows where that stands. I'll announce the date here when the CO is in hand. Friends and family are welcome in the meantime — just reach out below.
